THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The moments caught on camera, in various hues and shades, put on display at ‘Lives n Colours’, a photo exhibition by Aneesh Koshy Zachariah, is the attracting the attention of art lovers in the capital city. As the name signifies, Aneesh’s photos are visually pleasing and appealing.  Though busy with his official duty as a clerk at the Panchayat Office at Pullad in Pathanamthitta, the free time he gets is spared for capturing the shots. Being a post graduate diploma holder in print journalism, Aneesh’s expeditions to capture moments are depicted through a set of 57 photographs displayed at the Museum Auditorium here.  The seemingly simple moments captured in frames are actually filled with much efforts, he says. Aneesh explains how difficult it was to capture a multi-coloured photograph of a man who shoots a bubble into the air, one of the photos displayed at the venue. “It was not easy to bring a sparkling pattern of colours on bubbles that were shot into air abruptly. It was after many attempts that I finally caught it on camera as you see it now,” Aneesh says. The photographer, who loves to capture nature at dawn and dusk, has brought out the pictures ranging from fruits and flowers to the subtle nuances of Durga Pooja in West Bengal. His photos underline the fact that a picture is worth a thousand words and may be because of that, he has not given a caption to any of them. It seems Aneesh wishes that the art lovers bring forward their own interpretations and meanings to the works. Aneesh has his own definitions on photographic moments; “pictorial moments must come naturally as it is. Once we knowingly arrange a moment to capture it on lens, it would lose the aesthetic pleasure.” Adjusting the shutter speed of the camera, he loves to experiment with varied colour compositions.  The exhibition has photographs capturing images from ghats along the Ganga, Aranmula, Vagamon, Arthunkal, Kadamattom Church, Thenmala, Padmanabhapuram Palace, Punalur and Thenmala. The exhibition is on till Wednesday.
