HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam will serve another notice for moving a no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government. As the Assembly Speaker’s office raised objections that the notice served on Thursday was not valid, the opposition party has decided to give another notice with the signatures of the required number of 30 MLAs one hour before the commencement of the Assembly on Saturday. Speaking to reporters here on Friday, party president and leader of the opposition N Chandrababu Naidu said that there was no going back on moving the no-trust motion. The speaker had to convene the House and allow debate on the no-confidence motion, he said. The entire process including debate and voting should be completed within ten days of issuing notice, Naidu pointed out. There was no other option before the speaker than allowing a debate on the motion, he said.If the speaker could not take up the no-trust motion on Saturday, he should take it up on any other day but the process should be completed within ten days, Naidu said while asserting that the Assembly rules were clear in this regard. He said that the TDP had given notice on Thursday as the Assembly was adjourned sine die but not prorogued. The notification issued for Saturday’s Assembly session stated that it would be the second meeting of the seventh session of the Assembly and did not say it was a special meeting, Naidu pointed out.On Telangana, Naidu reiterated his stand that it was the Centre, which had to take a decision. Union home minister P Chidambaram said that the Centre would take a decision which would please all. Let the Centre take such a decision, he said. Reiterating that the TDP would not attend the all-party meeting to be convened by Chidambaram on the issue, Naidu recalled that AICC spokesman Manish Tewari categorically stated that the Centre did not want any advice from any party.
