Tamil Nadu: Headmaster arrested for sexually abusing 11-year-old girl

Chennai: A headmaster of a school in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl. The Nanguneri all-women police registered a case against the headmaster Subramani based on a complaint filed by the victim's mother on Monday evening.

The incident happened at a panchayat primary school in the Surakudi near Nanguneri.

The police said the headmaster had been sexually exploiting the girl for a long time. The incident came to light when the girl complained of pain on Monday. The girl has been sent to Tirunelveli Government Hospital for medical checkup.
