KOCHI: An hour-long special Chandramouleeswara pooja has been the highlight of the two-day camp of Sringeri Sharada Peetham Matadhipathy Sri Sri Bharati Theertha Swamiji at the Sri Bharathi Theertha Veda Patasala at Anavathil near Mattancherry.Scores of devotees have been blessed by the Swamiji during visit to the Lord Dharma Sastha temple at the Karanthayar Palayam Maha Samooham Matom and the Sri Bharathi Theertha Veda Patasala.The Swamiji, who was given a rousing reception on Thursday evening when he arrived at Anavathil as part of his Kerala Vijaya Yatra, distributed prasadam to all the devotees at the end of the Friday’s poojas.Karanthayar Palayam Maha Samooham managing trustee V S Parasurama Iyer and Brahmins Welfare Association president V Ramalingam led the reception with Poornakumbham amidst the chanting of Veda manthras by the students of the Sri Bharathi Theertha Veda Patasala. The Swamiji performed the Chandramouleeswara pooja at the Sree Sarada Sankara Kalyana Mantapam in the presence of scores of devotees. The Archakas of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham performed a Chandramouleeswara pooja on Friday morning. It was followed by Pada pooja of the Swamiji. The devotees later offered prayers to the Swamiji and sought his blessings.The Swamiji, who was the state guest, was given a Guard of Honour at the Sri Bharathi Theertha Veda Patasala on Friday morning. After the two-day visit, the Swamiji left for Alappuzha on Friday afternoon.
