BANGALORE: City-based advocate Sheela Anish has been elected as the world president of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) at the 34th annual conference held at Lagos, Nigeria recently. A leading advocate practising at the High Court and Supreme Court, Sheela is the founder-president of the All India Federation of Women Lawyers. She is the second Indian women to be elected as the world president .Speaking to Express, Sheela said that International Federation of Women Lawyers has a consultative status with UNO with which the federation works world-wide for framing laws in the interest of women.
