HYDERABAD: Scores of Secretariat employees staged a protest demonstration in front of chief minister’s office at the Secretariat on Monday demanding action against the Saifabad police for allegedly torturing two office subordinates at the Roads and Buildings department over the theft of a laptop belonging to R&B principal secretary S P Singh on Saturday.Employees led by TJAC leader Narender Rao raised slogans against the Secretariat chief security officer and Saifabad police and demanded their suspension for torturing Mohd. Jaleel and M A Faheem.Based on the complaint lodged by the deputy secretary, police personnel of Saifabad police station took the duo into custody. Rao alleged that cops interrogated them for six hours in an unlawful manner without a proper enquiry in the case.He demanded that the government suspend the Saifabad SI, chief security officer of the Secretariat and the Deputy Secretary as they are responsible for the torture.
