Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday allocated `2.2 crore for rebuilding the District Ex-servicemen Centre in Vellore. The new building will have all infrastructure facilities to help the ex-servicemen who visit the centre. The present building (in pic) housing the centre is in a dilapidated state. On receiving information about this, the Chief Minister had directed that a new building be constructed after demolishing the existing one.
Ex-servicemen centres in all districts take care of the welfare of the retired service personnel.
