Rift widens as Anam storms Mekapati Bastion

NELLORE: Political rivalry between the Anam brothers and Mekapati brothers has further intensified with finance minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, in the name of participating in development programmes in Udayagiri constituency, trying to influence followers and supporters of MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhara Reddy.On Monday, the minister commenced his week- long tour of Udayagiri constituency and inspected the ongoing works of Gandipalem project.He took the opportunity to indirectly criticise Chandrasekara Reddy.The minister questioned why the MLA had ensured completion of only works worth Rs 3 crore when the government had sanctioned Rs 24 crore for the project.On one hand, the minister discredited the MLA and on the other hand gave an assurance to the people on behalf of the government that the project will be completed at the earliest.I n t e r e s t i n g l y , Ramanarayana Reddy participated in the party activists meeting in Duttalur organised by M Janaki Ram, arch rival of Mekapati brothers.Chandrasekhara Reddy is representing the constituency since 2004 and at one time was a bosom friend of Anam brothers.Anam brothers enjoyed full support and backing of Mekapati Brothers till Jagan launched his Odarpu Yatra
