Mumbai: Actor-turned-politician Govinda says reviving his movie career will take priority over his work as a lawmaker, but he will not quit politics entirely, a newspaper reported.
Govinda has acted in more than 115 movies since 1986. Two years ago he was elected to Parliament representing the Congress Party.
Govinda, 48, told Mumbai Mirror on Friday that his focus in the future will be the film industry.
“Everything else comes later,” Govinda said.
“Other commitments got in the way (of films) but now I have decided to give all of myself to my acting career,” he added.
But Govinda said he will still be a soldier for the Congress Party.
“I will present myself in Delhi if I'm called,” he added.
He is hoping Bhagam Bhag which opened on Friday, will return him to stardom.
