Pilots Guild allowed to continue training module
The Delhi HC, however, ruled that there will be no new training programme unless the Dharmadhikari Commission report was made public and implemented.

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Friday ruled in favour of the Indian Pilots Guild in the Boeing Dreamliner training programme issue. This means that the Air India pilots will get to fly the bulk of the Boeing Dreamliner carriers.

However, the HC ruled that there will be no new training programme for pilots unless the recommendations of Dharmadhikari Commission report are made public and implemented.

The HC will now hear the case next on July 16.

The Indian Commercial Pilots Association had alleged that some pilots were being sidelined for advanced training on aircraft like the Boeing 777.

On Tuesday, nearly 50 Air India pilots called in sick, demanding training parity between the pilots of Air India and the Indian Airlines.

After the interim order in the Boeing 777, this order in the Boeing Dreamliner case is seen as the second big relief.
