Now, PF payments just a click away

CHENNAI: With the launch of a new system for filing all-in-one electronic-challan-cum-returns online for Provident Fund contributions, payments would be just a click away.The new system, mandatory for all establishments from this month, envisages automatic updating of accounts on receipt of contributions. According to Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), employers can deposit their contributions only after filling up returns online in the website of EPFO. “On filling up the returns, challans are generated to enable them to remit the contributions in banks. There is no requirement of submission of other returns,” regional provident fund commissioner M Madhiazagan said.User IDs and passwords can be obtained by logging into the ‘employer e-sewa’ link in the website www.epfindia.gov.in.
