No drinking water in Dharmasala block

JAJPUR: Even after six days of flood, relief is yet to reach over 25,000 affected people of Dharmasala block here.
"Water gushed into our house and washed away all that was stored. We have not received help of any kind from the administration," alleged Niranjan Swain of Mirzapur village.Like Niranjan, people in Mirzapur, Patunia, Kantigadia, Patapur and Khetrapal gram panchayats of the block have made similar allegations. Collector Anil Kumar Samal, however, said efforts were being made to reach out to all the affected. "While water is receding in all areas across the State, it is surging in villages under Dharmasala block in the district. We are making all efforts to provide relief in all the floodhit areas of the block by Tuesday night," said Samal.
