New School Buses Flagged Off

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister V S Sivakumar flagged off three new school buses of the Vengannoor Mahatma Ayyankali Memorial UP School at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club on Friday. ‘’The State Government is duty-bound to protect and develop the school, which memorialises the renaissance spirit advocated by Ayyankali,’’ he said. A master plan of Rs 10 crore for the development of the school and other related buildings will be submitted to the Central and State Governments, said V Sasi MLA, who presided over the function. Trust secretary Cheruvaykkal Arjunan, Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha office-bearers T V Babu, N K Neelakantan, T K Purushan, Thuravoor Suresh, T K Satheesh Chandran and K Arjunan were also present.
