Understanding of god
God is the ultimate superpower which governs each and every incident – big or small – that happens in the world. But to me, he is more like a buddy. When I’m unhappy, I go to him for solutions, when I’m happy, I party with him and thank him for everything. I am very open about who I am to god. Since he is a superpower, I believe that he deserves that kind of honesty from us.
Religious practices
Every day, before I start my car or leave home for work, I look at the photo of Mother Aurobindo. I’ve never told her this, but I also look at my mother before I step out of the house. She is also like god to me. I feel god doesn’t expect anything from us, so there is not much point in things like fasting, not shaving and all that. We have to be ourselves with him.
Faith in miracles
I believe in miracles. I’ve personally experienced many in life – be it something as simple as getting my exam hall ticket or escaping road accidents.
Take on meditation
I believe in the benefits of meditation, but I don’t really meditate. A heavy workout gives me the high that people feel from meditation.
Pilgrimage spots
Whenever I feel low or something important is coming up, or sometimes when I just feel like it, I drive down to Puducherry to visit the Aurobindo Ashram.
