The task force of the police foiled a murder conspiracy and arrested two persons, including a former home guard, for allegedly conspiring to eliminate one Riyasath Ali Khan at Bahadurpura here on Thursday.
Police also seized two daggers and a bike from the accused. Acting on a tip-off, the task force nabbed Mohammed Imran Khan (24) and his associate Syed Chand (32), who were waiting near Rama talkies seeking an opportunity to eliminate Riyasath Ali.
Police sources stated that they had received credible information about the conspiracy and were successful in nabbing the two men. Imran, a former home guard who now worked as an e-sewa operator, had grudges against Riyasath, an RTA agent of Talab Katta, and allegedly sought help from his friend Syed, who has criminal records, for eliminating Riyasath.
Syed immediately agreed to help Imran in his pursuit.
