TIRUCHY: All eyes were on a 24-year-old girl who entered the BEd examination hall, attired in her wedding dress.When curious onlookers enquired, it came to light that Shanmuga Priya had come to the examination hall, almost immediately after her marriage on Monday morning.The newly wed groom Madhan Prabhu, a 26-year-old IT professional, who accompanied her, was waiting outside, while Shanmuga Priya, wrote the examination. The marriage took place before 7.30 am at Ramji Kalyana Mandapam in Woraiyur here and the examination at 10 am.Soon after tying the knot, Madhan Prabhu changed to his casual wear and the couple took a car to the examination venue at Urumu Dhanalakshmi College, Kattur.As soon as she finished the examination, Madhan Prabhu took her to the Kalyana Mandapam again, where the relatives waited.Shanmuga Priya, who has completed MSc in IT and M Phil, said she got tense when she came to know that the BEd last exam coincides with her wedding date. She said she wanted to write the exam and convey her decision to her would be husband, who assured full support.
