Bikaner: Creating smoke rings can be fascinating, but have you ever heard of a man who smokes his cigarettes with his ears. Meet Dharmendra Singh of Bikaner, the ear smoker who wants to enter the record books.
Twenty four-year-old Singh learnt this unique style of smoking cigarettes from his chain-smoker friends. Initially, he tried it for fun, but it soon became a habit. He now has the ability to huff and puff 20-25 cigarettes at a stretch with his ear.
He is keen to enter the Limca Book of Records and the Guinness Book of World Records.
To make it to the Limca Book of Records and the Guinness Book of World Records, Singh practices smoking in his special way.
"I am not a habitual smoker of cigarettes. It is an art, which I came to know from one of my friends. One day while bathing I found that air bubbles were coming out of my ear. I told this to my friend and he told me to try lighting a cigarette in my ear and inhaling the puff. I lit a cigarette and found it clicked," said Singh.
"It was my friend who encouraged me and convinced me that it is an art which will earn me fame. Since then I have never looked back I know smoking is injurious to health," Singh added.
However, Dharmendra's father Amar Singh, who understands smoking is not a good idea for anyone's health but is glad that his son is trying to earn a name from a not so likeable habit.
"I know smoking is a bad habit. Everybody smokes by his or her mouth but Dharmendra smokes from his ear. It can make him famous and if he earns a name and fame, it will be good for him," said Amar Singh, Dharmendra's father.
