KSEB towers kick up Smart row

KOCHI: With the KSEB resuming the construction of towers in the land handed over for the Smart City, a fresh row has been kick started. Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed will visit the land on Sunday to take stock of the situation.The District Collector had asked the KSEB officials to stop the works immediately. The minister, Benny Behnan MLA, District Collector PI Shiek Pareeth and the KSEB officials will visit the site on Sunday.The KSEB had handed over 100 acres of land, which was part of the 206 acres of its Brahmapuram Diesel Power Project, to the IT Department for the Smart City project in 2008. The construction at the project site was noticed on November last year.
