KOCHI: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the UDF Government is all set to make Kerala an investment-friendly state. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the new boat terminal and Goshree Island Development Authority (GIDA) office complex here on Saturday.Chandy said the seaplane project in Kochi is in its final stage and it will be implemented soon. According to Chandy, Kochi is a fast developing city and the government will launch a global investment meet named ‘Emerging Kerala’ here from September 12 to 14.District Collector Sheik Pareeth said the construction work of the GIDA office and boat terminal will begin on Sunday itself and it would be completed soon. Union Minister K V Thomas, PWD Minister V K Ebrahim Kunju, V D Sathesan MLA, Dominic Presentation MLA, GCDA chairman N Venugopal, Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany and Ernkulam district panchayat president Eldhose Kunnappilly attended.
