KCR retreats to farmhouse

When several Telangana organisations are raring to organise protests during prime minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to the city on Oct 16, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao left for his farmhouse on Friday and will stay there for a week. Rao plans to hold informal meetings with TRS and TJAC leaders in the coming days to brief them on the outcome of the consultations he had with Congress high command leaders in Delhi.

The TRS chief is still confident that the Congress will make an announcement by the end of the month setting the process of Telangana state formation. He advised his party leaders and cadre to take up special programmes to strengthen the party from the grass root level.

TJAC chairman M Kodandaram is yet to take a decision on meeting the TRS chief. As for the BJP it announced that it would not stage any protest nor participate in any such programme during the prime minister’s visit to the city for participation in the COP-11.
