BANGALORE: J P Nagar police have arrested a 28 year old Iranian citizen for allegedly cheating his fellow countrymen, including 15 students, posing as an educational consultant. The accused has been identified as Amin Delgoshaee, residing at an apartment in J P Nagar VII Phase.
He came here on a student visa in 2002 and completed his degree in pharmacy. He was illegally staying in the city even after the expiry of his visa period. Amin, while studying in the city, had helped his other friends in Iran to get seats in various professional colleges in the city. With own network with other educational consultants in the city, Amin, along with a few friends, opened an educational consultancy in Siraj in Iran. Many Iranian students showed interest to come to Bangalore and approached his consultancy, police said.

The students were assured of all kinds of professional seats. The accused was asking them to deposit the entire course fees at the office in Iran.

The students were not aware of this. They were under the impression that the entire fees had been deposited to the colleges by Amin. When the students were asked by the college managements to remit the remaining fees, then only they got to know that they had been cheated.

Two complaints were filed by BPharma students at a college in Yelahanka - Sapida and Madhaerr Madani - against him. Another complaint has been registered against the accused in Cubbon Park police station.
