While Google has yet to acknowledge ownership, the next generation of Glass has been filed on the FCC website.
While Google has yet to acknowledge ownership, the next generation of Glass has been filed on the FCC website.
The original Google Glass (called the Explorer Edition) was withdrawn earlier this year after the design failed to catch on among consumers.
Now, a reworked version of Glass (the Enterprise Edition) has been filed on the FCC website. Changes include a longer and larger prism (the screen) as well as a folding mechanism like that of a regular pair of glasses. The structure also appears more solid than its predecessor.
It is expected that the device will initially be available only to Glass for Work partners, a scheme run by Google, as part of a trial phase.
The FCC file can be viewed here.
