A gruesome incident sent shockwaves through Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki as a 35-year-old man was brutally murdered. The whole matter is of Gyankheda village of Haidergarh Kotwali area of Barabanki district where the victim, identified as Govinda, was kidnapped, tortured, and eventually killed in a horrific manner.
According to Haidergarh police reports, Govinda’s body was discovered in a pond in the Shivgarh police station area of Raebareli district. The assailants allegedly subjected Govinda to extreme torture, including removing his genitals and eyes. His hands and feet were then tied before being dumped into the pond.
Additional Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Narayan Singh said that based on a complaint by the victim’s family, a case was filed against three named individuals and one unknown person, all from the same village.
So far, three suspects have been arrested and are currently being interrogated about the incident. Singh confirmed the incident and stated that the police are working diligently to uncover the motive behind the brutal murder.
