BANGALORE: A special team of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a gang of 13 men and recovered stolen goods worth over Rs 80 lakh.
The accused have been identified as Raghuvaran (22), Siddaraju (23), Divakara (21), Pradeep (24), Nagendra (20), Abrar Pasha (24), Krishna (29) and Sadik Khan (25. The others have been identified as prisoners Mahesh (25), Kecha (23), Bharath (23) and Sandeep who were giving them information to carry out the crime. The accused used to target gold merchants. Follwing complaints, the CCB had set up a special squad to investigate these complaints. The sleuths observed their activities to arrest the accused. The police chased eight different robbery cases registered various police stations from July 2010 till date.

The police have recovered 3.1 kg gold and Rs 1.43 lakh in cash and five mobiles, twowheelers, an auto and jewels worth over Rs 80 lakh. The squad included ACP S Y Hadimani, Police Inspectors Balegowda, K C Ashokan, S K Malatesh and other PSIs.

Robbed

In HRBR layout, robbers entered a house and looted nearly 300 gm gold ornaments. Banasavadi police had registered the case.
