Fifth minister row ludicrous: VS

KOZHIKODE: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has termed the present imbroglio in the United Democratic Front (UDF) over the fifth ministerial berth to the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) as ‘ludicrous squabbles’. Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Achuthanandan said, “such farcical squabbles would continue in the UDF, which has the support of the religious and communal forces.”The Opposition Leader also criticised the UDF for drawing the Assembly Speaker into the controversy. “For the last 10 years, Speaker has been functioning impartially and  performing his duties with justness. There was no reason for the UDF to make him part of the controversy,” he said.
