BANGALORE: The vacation bench of the High Court on Tuesday adjourned the bail application of actor Darshan, who was been jailed on charges of attempt to murder his wife and son, to October 7.A single bench headed by Justice B V Pinto adjourned hearing on the bail plea after special public prosecutor Chandramouli sought time to file objection against the bail plea.The actor moved for bail before the High Court after a lower court rejected it stating that the affidavit filed by his wife Vijayalakshmi — who had convalesced from the injuries inflicted on her by her husband recently — could not be taken into consideration as the case was still under investigation.Vijayalakshmi had earlier appeared before the magisterial court seeking to withdraw her complaint, but the court did not accept it and rejected her husband Darshan’s bail plea on the ground that the crime committed under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) did not fall under its jurisdiction.
