THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Monday said that the greatest achievement of Padma Bhushan award winning entrepreneur Captain C P Krishnan Nair was that he could successfully establish his hotel business in the state where hostile conditions existed in the industrial sector. He was speaking at a function organised here in connection with the release of ‘Krishna Leela’, the autobiography of C P Krishnan Nair. Terming the life of Krishnan Nair as a success saga, Oommen Chandy said that there were hardly any successful Malayali industrialist in the picture when Krishnan Nair bravely ventured into the world of business. Krishnan Nair in his autobiography says that controversy is a commodity which sells best in the state. But he managed to outgrow all the controversies that surrounded him and emerged victorious in his field of activity, the Chief Minister said. Captain Krishnan Nair, during the ceremony, announced that he had decided to distribute the book among high school students in the state as he was sure that his success story would inspire them. Oommen Chandy released the autobiography by handing over a copy of the book to Shashi Tharoor MP, who in turn, released the electronic version of the book on an iPad. Uthradam Tirunal Marthanda Varma inaugurated the ceremony and Ramachandran Nair presided over. The publisher of the book, Ravi DC, also attended the function.
