KOCHI: KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala has blamed the CPM for using the revised budget for political gains. Inaugurating a two-day training camp for Congress councillors here on Friday, Chennithala said the Congress would politically fight the CPM as the latter was trying to destabilise the UDF Government.
"I do not think that any particular district was totally neglected in the budget. It is for the first time in the history of the state that hartals are being organised by a political party in the name of state budget. This itself is an indicator that the CPM was trying to make maximum politcal mileage out of the situation," Chennithala added.Senior Congress leaders, including V M Sudheeran, P P Thankachan, M I Shanavas and K P Dhanapalan, were present on the occasion.Mayor Tony Chammany, KPCC general secretary N Venugopal and Development Standing Committee chairman T J Vinodh spoke.
