New Delhi: A Polish national reportedly raped a British tourist last week at a hotel in Central Delhi.
The victim, staying at a hotel in Paharganj area, was known to the accused.
Paharganj is favourite among tourists because of the availability of a string of budget hotels and both the foreign nationals were staying nearby hotels.
On February 7, the Polish citizen, identified as Dominique Rafel took the 28-year-old British lady to his room after having drinks together in a nightclub and allegedly raped her.
She filed a complaint against him the next day and he was soon arrested. He was produced before Tis Hazari court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
Police said PTI, it has informed the Polish Embassy and British High Commission here about the incident.
