Once again, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi attributed the credit of the rise of Rajasthan as one of the most developed states of India to Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Congress government, while addressing a rally in Sikar on Wednesday.
"Rajasthan today is among states that are developing and that is because of Congress party’s programmes, she said, backing her claims with the landmark legislations and health schemes of the government. She hit out at BJP saying they wrongly accuse her party of ignoring the poor and mislead people with false promises.
"Under leadership of Manmohan Singh, our government has given path breaking rights to the people. More than 80 crore of our brothers and sisters will get food at nominal rates under Food security act," she said.
"Farmers are an integral part of our country’s development, we have given them the Land Acquisition Act. It will also ensure tribals are not exploited and they have right over their land. We started free health schemes and ‘pashu aahar yojna’ in Rajasthan," she further added.
