Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan is all set to fly off to London in another four days to unveil his wax statue, becoming the newest Bollywood entrant into the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum.
Speaking to the media on the occasion of his 36th birthday today, he confirmed, "On 14th of this month, I will be flying off to unveil my wax statue at Madame Tussauds."
Hrithik also admitted that he sees his birthday as a day to extend an olive branch to those he has had misunderstandings with, in the past and resolve issues. According to reports, this year, he chose a micro-blogging site to seek forgiveness from his sister-in-law Farah Khan Ali, who apparently was upset with him over some issue.
However, the actor was in no mood to divulge the details. All he said was, "On each of my birthdays, I say sorry to someone. After I wake up, if I feel there is any animosity between me and another person, I just pick up the phone and make a call." Although, he refused to provide any detail about this current issue stating that it is "too personal."
While informing that the celebrations at home today also included a puja, the actor also spoke about how his birthday has become less about receiving gifts and more about giving. He said, "I am at such a stage in my life where I can give back to others. I have spent two hours speaking to my fans on the phone. It is very touching and things like this motivate me." He added saying, "Sometimes, you don’t know what you want. I just try to do my best and be closer to God."
On being asked what his reaction was to the claim from various quarters that the Best Actor Popular Choice that went to Shah Rukh Khan at a recent awards ceremony should have come to him, Hrithik chose to remain diplomatic. "He must deserve it more than me. It’s all OK," he clarified. Hrithik also admitted that he is hoping that SRK turns up for the special birthday party planned at his home in Juhu tonight.
Talking about his future projects and revealing his happiness over his filmmaker father's decision to make a sequel to Krrish. "I'm very happy that papa (Rakesh Roshan) has finally taken the mantle and said that he will make Krrish because it was my dream to make another Krrish...
