Ten farmers of Vadlamavi village in Holagunda mandal were injured in a clash between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka farmers over lowlevel canal (LLC) waters on Thursday night around 11:30 p.m.
According to information reaching here, the farmers from both sides of the border clashed over the water, with the Andhra farmers blaming their Karnataka counterparts of intentionally blocking the water to their fields.
On Thursday night, the farmers entered into an argument, following which the farmers from Karnataka pelted stones and attacked with sticks. Ten people were injured. Police rushed to the spot and brought situation under control. However, a tense situation still prevails.
