Barcelona: Barcelona striker Neymar has said that "every day" he learns "a lot" from club superstar Lionel Messi, not only quality technical skills, but also from his behaviour on the field.
Neymar on Thursday thanked Messi for letting him take the penalty kick during La Liga game against Cordoba, even though Messi needed it to complete his hat-trick, reports Efe.
"It's a detail I will never forget. It left me without words," he explained.
Neymar talked about Barcelona's great 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday night.
"Everyone liked it. We produced a really good performance. We have to be calm and show humility, because there are still 90 very difficult minutes left to be played," he said, referring to the second leg to be played at Bayern's home field.
Messi led Barcelona to victory at the Camp Nou Stadium by scoring two goals and assisting Neymar's, the team's third.
Neymar also told the under-fire Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale that he must live with the criticism coming his way. The record 86-million-pound signing has endured a torrid second season at Madrid-based club, with Tuesday night's anonymous showing against Juventus a new nadir in the opinion of fans and Madrid media, reports dailymail.co.uk.
But Neymar admits Bale's current situation comes with the territory of being a top class talent.
"Criticism and pressure is something very usual in football. We all face it from time to time. You have to learn to live with it," the Brazilian said on Thursday about the Welshman.
"What isn't in doubt is that Gareth Bale is a great player."
Bale's drop in form and popularity at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium has seen him linked with a return to the English Premier League (EPL) with Chelsea or Manchester United.
