A student from Indore secured admission at one of the prestigious colleges, the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy in Tamil Nadu. However, she has suddenly gone missing and about 13 days have passed without any update about her whereabouts. Her parents who dreamed big about their ambitious daughter are looking for her and seeking help from the police and politicians. This is the story of Ojaswi Gupta.
Ojaswi Gupta studied engineering at Indore College. After completing her degree, she began working in an IT company. However, it was her dream to pursue post-graduation from NIT. She began preparing for it and secured 72nd rank in the country in the exam. She sought admission to NIT Trichy. In August, she joined the college and began pursuing a Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
From September 15, she has been reported missing. As per reports, her father, Nutesh Gupta last spoke to her on the night of September 14. From next morning, her phone was switched off. By the evening of September 15, the NIT Management informed her family about her disappearance from the hostel. The family also filed a case at the local police station, but till now, there have been no updates or leads. Trichy police also formed a special investigating team to look for the NIT student, but there has been no clue. Amid this, the family gave a memorandum to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav and appealed for his help.
As per reports, Ojaswi was made the class representative in NIT, which left a few miffed. Meanwhile, the CCTV footage has revealed that she stepped out of the campus on September 15 after parking her bicycle. Generally, students are allowed to go out of the campus only on Sundays. Hence, when she did not come back, a search was conducted.
Reportedly, a four-page letter was found in her room which has allegedly been written by her. It read, “If a woman is not beautiful, then it is very difficult for her to make men work under her leadership. Men do not like to work under the leadership of women, especially when the woman is not beautiful. The best thing happened to me when I started my PG in NIT. I was made the CR of the department. I got this position after defeating others and clearing all the rounds. Actually, I felt very proud and happy for this in the beginning, but later everything started getting bad.”
She added, “Don’t do so much for people that you lose yourself, because, in the end, these are the same people who point fingers at you. Especially for girls – this era is not good for girls. Now I say goodbye, there is no need to make it a hype. I was under mental pressure, I could not bear it. It is my mistake, do not blame others. All of you study well should go with a good package.” Ojaswi concluded the letter with a sentence, “…and yes, whoever wants to become a CR, make them. Love you NIT.”
