The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is just a few hours away and the fans are already excited to witness the madness of cricket, starting March 22. The season opener will see defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) locking horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Chepauk which is going to be a cracker of a contest. Ahead of the mouth-watering encounter, the Royal Challengers arrived in Chennai on Tuesday night after a massive team event – ‘RCB Unbox’ – at the Chinaswamy Stadium. A crowd of crazy fans welcomed the team as they shouted out loud on spotting Virat Kohli stepping out of the airport and boarding the team bus.

The RCB will be massively inspired by the women’s team who recently clinched their maiden WPL title after defeating Delhi Capitals in the final last Sunday. Kohli has represented RCB for 16 years and has not managed to win the IPL trophy. The team has been to the finals thrice only to find it at the losing end.
Speaking at the event in Bengaluru on Tuesday, Kohli said he would like to experience this season how winning an IPL trophy feels like.
“It was absolutely amazing. When they won it (WPL), we were watching. Hopefully, we can double it up with the trophies and that will be something truly special,” said Kohli.
The former captain said he would bank on his skillsets and experience to translate the dream of winning the IPL trophy into reality this year.
“That’s a dream of mine to know what it feels like to win an IPL trophy. I will be here, be a part of the team that wins the trophy for the first time. I will try my very best with my abilities, and my experience to be able to do that for the fans and the franchise,” he added.
