Shaniera dropped a funny picture of Akram on their 11th marriage anniversary.

Legendary Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram and his wife Shaniera celebrated their 11th marriage anniversary on Monday, August 19. On the special occasion, the couple shared heartfelt notes on social media, expressing their love and affection for each other. Shaniera dropped a funny picture of Akram on X (formerly Twitter) where the former pacer was captured in the avatar of an old man. The photograph was probably clicked during a promotional shoot. Akram wore a pair of round glasses and his real hair was covered with prosthetic makeup. He had donned a blue and green t-shirt, reminiscent of a cricket jersey.

“Happy Anniversary my baby, Wasim Akram – Thank you for everything you are and everything you give to my life, you are my world and 11 years on you look as good as the day I met you, you haven’t changed a bit,” Shaniera wrote in her post.

Wasim Akram also wished Shaniera a “happy anniversary” via an X post and called her “the love of his life”. Akram also shed light on Shaniera’s “infectious positive energy” and thanked her for making him a better human being.

“Happy anniversary to the love of my life, Shaniera. With you in my life I became a better person you are that gift that keeps on giving not just to me but to everyone around you. Your positive energy is so infectious it lifts everyone around you and shines wherever you go. So I thank you and God almighty for having you in my life as my wife, partner and best friend,” Wasim Akram noted.

A master of swing and seam, Wasim Akram is an inspiration for emerging fast bowlers. The left-arm pacer represented Pakistan in 356 ODIs, 104 Tests during his illustrious career. In Tests, Akram has 414 wickets to his name and in ODIs, he bagged 502 scalps. In international cricket, Akram claimed as many as 31 five-fors.

Despite being a specialist bowler, Wasim Akram also demonstrated his batting prowess on many occasions. In 1996, he played an unbeaten knock of 257 in a Test match against Zimbabwe. After his retirement, Akram shifted his focus to commentary.
