Hanuma Vihari Receives NOC from Andhra Cricket Association Right After 'Things Change' in the State

Hanuma Vihari received his No Objection Certificate from the Andhra Cricket Association on the third of June 2024. An NOC is required for a player seeking to switch from one team to another in the Ranji Trophy.

Vihari took to his social media account to share a picture of the same while taking a dig at the YCP after the alliance between BJP, TDP and Jana Sena Party triumphed in the Andra elections.

“I have been asking for NOC from 2 months, mailed them 4 times. Didn’t give my NOC. Now that things have turned, they’ve issued my NOC immediately. lol,” Vihari’s post read.

Vihari stated that he was denied an NOC from the ACA during the tenure of YCP, following a string of events that unfolded as the 30-year-old player found himself in hot waters for allegedly screaming at a player in the Andhra side’s Ranji unit during a game.

Reports suggest that the young cricketer hails from a family with pull in the political spheres with ties to YCP. Vihari was asked to step down as the side’s captain following the incident and he voiced out his grievance on social media.

Vihari expressed that he was mistreated and embarrassed by the cricket association, and vowed never to play for them again. Thus leading to his claim for an NOC, which was denied for a while during the rule of YCP in the state.

He received support from Jana Seva Party candidate and famous actor Pawan Kalyan for his turmoil.

Vihari further congratulated the win of the alliance between Pawan Kalyan’s party, JSP, TDP and BJP in another post on social media with a caption, “10 years of Perseverance, Planning and now POWER. Congratulations @PawanKalyan @JanaSenaParty @JaiTDP congratulations for what’s going to be a Thumping win. @naralokesh @ncbn. Karma never fails.”

Multiple reports suggest that the 30-year-old batter is seeking to ply his trade for Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming season of the Ranji Trophy.
