Ahead of his farewell Test in Sydney, Warner made the shocking announcement that he would be retiring from the ODI format as well.

The cricketing fraternity was already sad about the retirement of the Australian opening batter, David Warner who had announced previously that the ongoing series against Pakistan would be his last in the Test format and would retire from the red-ball format. But he managed to shock the fans once more when he spoke during the press conference ahead of his farewell Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

The batter also confirmed during the press conference that he would also retire from the ODI formats. He expressed his interest in playing in the various franchise cricketing leagues worldwide. However, he also mentioned that if he felt like he was playing well, he would make himself available for the Champions Trophy in 2025.
