South actress Kausalya recently participated in a programme organised by the Thanjavur Manasa Academy to promote the talents of differently-abled individuals. The event took place in Thanjavur and was conducted as part of the observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons on December 3. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about and celebrate the abilities of differently-abled people.
The programme featured various performances, including a magic show by renowned magician Vignesh Prabhu and a dance troupe consisting of differently-abled individuals led by a popular Tamil actor and filmmaker. The attendees included Bharat Education Group Secretary Punitha Ganesan, Television Director John Thanraj, Film Choreographer Johnny Master, Mayor Ramanathan of Thanjavur Municipal Corporation, and others.
Kausalya played a significant role in the event, initiating the ceremony by lighting the candle. She expressed her admiration for the differently-abled performers on stage, particularly commending their dance performances. The actress, who was visiting Thanjavur for the first time, emphasized the importance of motivating individuals with impairments and normalizing their abilities, allowing them to confidently showcase their talents.
During her interaction with the audience, Kausalya shared that she received an invitation to attend the event while shooting in a foreign country. Despite her busy schedule, she made it a point to attend the program, emphasising her desire to see differently-abled individuals succeed in life.

The inclusive approach in the entertainment industry is contributing to breaking stereotypes and promoting a more supportive and accepting society.
