Vijay Sethupathi needs no introduction. He is, at present, one of the most sought-after South film actors. Vijay Sethupathi is getting immense love for his performance in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan. Now, he is making news for donning a new look, reportedly for his upcoming film with director Mysskin. Vijay Sethupathi will reportedly play the lead in this film, whose shooting recently started. The untitled film is said to be a period drama. During Vijay Sethupathi’s recent public appearance, he was seen in a completely different look — reportedly for the Mysskin directorial he is shooting for. Vijay was seen donning a pencil moustache and a big black-framed nerdy pair of glasses. His hair appears shorter than before, and he even seems to have shed some kilos. Vijay Sethupathi’s new look from the film went viral in no time.

This is Vijay Sethupathi’s second film with Mysskin. Earlier, he was seen in a cameo in Mysskin’s Pisasu 2.

Last month, Vijay Sethupathi released the first look from his upcoming 50th film titled Maharaja. He shared the poster on social media, which went viral soon enough. Taking to his Instagram handle, Vijay wrote: “#MaharajaFirstLook #PassionAndRoute #VJS50FirstLook #vijaysethupathi50 #makkalselvan50.” In the poster, Vijay Sethupathi appears wounded. He can be seen sitting on a barber’s chair with a sickle in his hand. Some policemen are visible in the background, looking at him. Going by the poster, it seems the film is an action thriller and mass entertainer. Fans showered praises on his look in the comments section.

Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in Jawan. The film, presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, was produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film’s music. It was released in theatres on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
