Rohit Sharma celebrated his 37th birthday on April 30, when Mumbai Indians crossed swords against Lucknow Super Giants in an away game. The opening batter, however, failed to make an impact on the field. He managed only four runs before losing his wicket to Mohsin Khan. Among the other MI batters, Ishan Kishan, Nehal Wadhera and Tim David only had a good outing.
Riding on their contributions, the five-time champions produced 144 runs in the first innings. Lucknow Super Giants also lost an early wicket but recovered well on the back of a 62-run knock by Marcus Stoinis. The KL Rahul-led side finally sealed the deal in 19.2 overs, securing a four-wicket victory.
