Indian sweets, especially the beloved Rewadi, often bring joy and delight during celebrations. However, a viral video on Instagram has shed light on the unconventional process of making this sweet, leaving many viewers surprised and some reconsidering their love for it.
The video, shared by the Instagram account @nutritionistmisha, reveals the intricate steps involved in crafting Rewadi. The process starts with a man preparing sugar syrup, which is later thickened and hung on a bar. Without the use of gloves or head cover, the syrup is pulled and stretched before being rolled into thick sticks and chopped into numerous small pieces.
The most astonishing part of the video unfolds as the pieces are transformed into flat discs. They are scattered on the floor, and a worker, standing over a plate, flattens them using his feet. Despite the unorthodox method, this process results in the creation of the familiar and cherished winter sweet, rewadi.
