Optical illusion helps to train the mind to think quickly and improve concentration. It improves our cognitive and problem-solving skills while forcing us to think outside the box, increasing our creativity. Brain teasers include identifying patterns, analysing information, spatial reasoning, optical illusions and riddles. Among many brain twisters surfacing on the internet, an observational puzzle is going viral which challenges you to race against the clock to spot the hidden word that doesn’t match the rest. The deadline imposed for this brain teaser by Immerse Education is just 30 seconds.
In the latest optical illusion, a box with the word ‘Reading’ is repeated in all the rows and columns. In the box full of the word ‘Reading’, there is another very similar word which is tricky for the brain and eye to spot. It is the test of focus as our mind often scans images immediately, making it hard for our eye to find a minuscule difference in the picture. However, if you concentrate on each row and column, then it becomes easier to find the odd word out immediately. You can set your timer to 30 seconds to test your observational skills.
One tip to solve such brain teasers is to scan each row and column from up to down and left to right. It may not seem fruitful at once but it will give you an idea of where to look. If you are still unable to find the rogue word in this brain teaser then try looking in the sixth column. A small hint; only the first letter of the odd word is different from others.
Still can’t spot? The odd word is Beading. The brain teaser makers replace the word ‘R’ in Reading with ‘B’, to make the word difficult to spot. It’s especially difficult because the two letters are very similar. The sharp mind, however, must’ve spotted it within 30 seconds. The people who couldn’t find the odd word within the deadline should not lose hope as these brain teasers are solved easily once you start practising it every day. To train your brain, it is necessary to invest one hour in riddles and puzzles.
