Elon Musk Mocks Microsoft After Tech Giant Faces Massive Global Outage
Microsoft services came to a halt after a severe outage affected the company across the globe.

Services across multiple industries have been affected globally following a massive technical problem at Microsoft and an American cybersecurity company, Crowdstrike. While millions of Microsoft Windows users are facing the ‘Blue Screen of Death’ error, this outage has also led to connectivity failures, thus disrupting airlines, banks, media outlets and even the stock market at large. As users continue to flood social media platforms, venting out their frustration, billionaire Elon Musk seems busy taking a swipe at Microsoft.

Referring to one of his old tweets, the X owner compared the tech giant to a fictitious business called Macrohard. “Macrohard > Microsoft,” the tweet read.

Well, this is not it. Musk also went on to poke fun at how everything else has come crashing down while his X is still functioning. With a meme that originally surfaced on Indian social media a few years ago, he added a laughing emoji to it.

Many took to the comment section and reacted to Elon Musk’s snide jokes. A user wrote, “This is going to be an interesting Friday. Buckle up; this could get wild.”

Another commented, “Still laughing at the time all other prominent social media sites were down.”

A user wrote, “You’re a stiff competitor,” with a laughing emoji.

“Watching all over and enjoying,” a comment read.

Many even joked about Musk’s epic tweets with hilarious memes:

Microsoft Outage Affects Users Globally

The global disruption in Microsoft services has affected a number of sectors, mainly banks and airlines. Several Indian carriers, like Indigo, Spicejet, Akasa and Air India Express, are facing a major impact, leading to delays and flight cancellations. Users in large numbers have taken to social media platforms to draw attention to the chaotic situation.

While Microsoft, in a statement, assured that a “resolution is forthcoming,” CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz also addressed the issues.

Mentioning that the issue has been identified and it is not a security incident or cyberattack, Kurtz wrote, “CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted.”
