Anand Mahindra Says This Elephant Rescue Story Should Be Made Into A Film; What Do You Think?

Industrialist Anand Mahindra is quite active on social media. From informative videos to funny reels, his X (formerly Twitter) handle has it all. Mahindra’s lively interaction with internet users and interesting content has earned him more than 10 million followers on the social media platform. In the latest, Anand Mahindra re-shared a post which elaborated on a rescue operation of an elephant. The incident was originally posted by an IAS officer and it beautifully documented how forest officials reunited a lost baby elephant with its mother.

According to IAS officer Supriya Sahu’s post, the incident took place in Tamil Nadu. “The year ends on a heartwarming note for us at TN Forest Department, as our Foresters united a lost baby elephant with her mother and the herd after rescue in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve at Pollachi. The little calf was found searching for the mother when field teams spotted her. With the help of drones and experienced forest watchers, the herd was located and the tiny calf was safely reunited. Teams are still on ground for monitoring. Kudos to Ramasubramanian, CF, Bhargava Teja FD, Range officer Manikantan and the entire team,” the caption read.

Re-sharing the video, Anand Mahindra suggested making a short film on this rescue operation. He said, “Bravo Supriya Sahu! You’ve demonstrated that compassion and technology are a powerful combination that can help humans be peaceful co-habitants of this planet. Make a short film out of this wonderful story, please.”

The development was shared on December 30, 2023, and it has garnered more than 3.2 lakh views. Sahu’s post comprised three clips showing the rescue operation.

Soon after the video was shared by the Mahindra and Mahindra boss, social media users made their presence in the comment box. Everyone praised the efforts of the forest officials.
