Twitter updates app for iOS 9; gets split-screen support, lets you reply directly from notifications

New Delhi: Within just a day of Apple releasing its latest iOS 9 to consumers, Twitter has updated its app in order to better support the features in the latest iOS 9.
The microblogging site has updated its mobile app to support split-screen multitasking feature which is supported on iPads with iOS 9.
With the updated app, you will also be able to reply to mentions on Twitter right from the notification, without leaving the current app you are into.
All you need to do is swipe down for notification and the keyboard will pop up. You can type your reply and hit send. The updated Twitter for iOS is available on App Store.
Apple started rolling out the iOS 9 to consumers on Wednesday. The updated software of iPhones and iPads boasts of a host of new features and improvements including a proactive Siri and enhanced battery performance.
