New Delhi: At an event in the city today, Samsung announced its latest Galaxy smartphones under the ‘On’ series – the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7.
The Galaxy On5 smartphone features a 5-inch HD display while the On7 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display. The former is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core Exynos processor while the latter runs the 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon processor. Both the devices include 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage with expansion capability up to 128 GB via microSD card.
The On5 features an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash coupled with 5 megapixel front snapper. The On7 comes with 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphones come with Samsung’s new ‘Trip On’ music service that learns what a user likes and plays new music based on that. They further come preinstalled with with MixRadio that offers over 30 million tracks and free offline music.
A 2600mAh battery powers the Galaxy On5 while the larger On7 draws its juice from a 3,000mAh battery. Both phones are 4G LTE enabled. The phones come with Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode that allows one to save user data up to 50 per cent when you stream online content.
The Galaxy On5 is priced at Rs 8,990 while the Galaxy On7 is priced at Rs 10,990. The phones in Black and Gold colour choices will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting midnight.
