New Delhi: Focusing on smartphone photography, Gionee has introduced its latest Elife E8 smartphone that is touted to be the world's first smartphone to come with an astounding 24 megapixel rear camera.

The Gionee E8 smartphone features a quad-HD AMOLED display that offers 490 ppi pixel density. At its heart is a 2GHz MediaTek’s quad-core Helio X10 processor combined with 3GB RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage.

With faster auto-focus camera that can shoot up to 5 photos in 0.8 seconds the Gionee Elife E8 includes True Tone LED flash that can produce images with up to 100 megapixel resolution. Its secondary camera is 8 megapixel. The camera includes lossless zoom and offers 4K video recording ability.

Powered by Android Lollipop, the phone comes with Gionee’s own Amigo 3.1 custom skin and features fingerprint sensor at its rear for added security. Users can store up to five unique fingerprints. Connectivity options include NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS among others.

The Android Lollipop-based Elife E8 is 4G enabled and supports dual SIM. It is powered by a 3500mAh battery with fast charging capacity and has been priced at Rs 34,999. The phone will start selling exclusively on Snapdeal starting October 12.
