New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today decided against holding a Janata Darbar after the chaos during his first such public meeting on Saturday.

Here's a look at some of the states, where the chief ministers regularly meet the common people with various problems:

Gujarat

Known as 'SWAGAT' (State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology)

Functional since 2003

9 am-12 pm: Complaints are registered online to Chief Minister's office on the fourth of every month

12-3 pm: Concerned officers file replies to complainants

3 pm: The Chief Minister and others interact with complainants through video conferencing

Kerala

Known as 'Mass Contact Programme'

Programme was resumed on October 2013

CM's Public Grievance Redressal Cell call centre works 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Complainants can call at a toll free number - 1076

Mass Contact Programme has won the UN Public Service Award for 2013

Bihar

Known as 'Janta Ke Darbar Mein Mukhyamantri'

Functional since April 2006, held every Monday

People can also post grievances online

Uttar Pradesh

Akhilesh Yadav meets people every Wednesday

Began on April 2012

Rajasthan

Vasundhra Raje meets people every day between 11 am-1 pm

Two BJP ministers hold two-hour meetings everyday

Uttarakhand

Madhya Pradesh

Introduced as Samadhan-Online in February 2006

People can post grievances online at www.mpsamadhan.org

Meeting is held on the first Wednesday of every month

Selected applications are sent to concerned officials for submission of report on the same day

Report submitted online by officials to Chief Minister's office

Reports are reviewed by the Chief Minister along with the complainant and concerned officials through video-conferencing

Punjab

Programme is called 'Sangat Darshan'

Held four times a week across the state
