Meanwhile, in the viral video, Inzamam said that a few Indian players used to attend the prayers where Maulana Tariq Jameel was also present.

Inzmam, who shared a good camaraderie with a lot of Indian cricketers, shared an anecdote from the past in a video which has gone viral on social media, where he made some revelation about Harbhajan getting impressed with the Maulana’s words.

“We had a room where prayers were conducted. Maulana Tariq Jameel used to visit us in the evening and lead us into a namaz. After a few days, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif and Zaheer Khan also started coming. Four other Indian cricketers sat and watched us,” he said.

“Harbhajan, who was unaware that Tariq Jameel was a maulana, said that ‘I am impressed with this man and want to follow his words’.

Harbhajan said, “Tumhe dekhke ruk jaata hu. (I stop after seeing you)” I responded, “Mujhe dekhke kyu ruk jaate ho? (why do you stop after seeing me),” Inzamam claimed.
